City of Aurora Small Tree Team

At the City of Aurora I was a full time small-tree field worker, while not directly related to my field of geospatial ecology it still gave me incredible valuable experience working as an urban forester. My job as a lone worker was to do any kind of ‘side-quest’ the forestry department required. Some days I’d be rescuing a rare tree from the sidelots of construction sites, other days I’d be digitizing newly planted trees using ArcGIS field maps, and others I’d be driving full-size CDL water trucks to and from different places within the city.
